What are detergents?

Detergents are substances that can remove particles of dirt and grease from various objects.

There are different types of detergents, each used for different levels. With the passage of time and the advancement of technology, a wide range of detergent products with powerful cleaning properties have been produced and marketed.

The first detergent invented was soap. The history of the first soap dates back to about 2000 years ago, the detergents have undergone a rapid and changeable evolution.

Detergents have a similar function to soap, except that they are more soluble than hard soaps (containing heavy ions such as calcium). The reason for the lower tendency is to form a bond between the anionic sulfonate surfactant and calcium than the anion carboxylate. Detergent formulations usually contain substances such as sodium lauryl ethersulfate, triethanolamine, cocamide, propyl betaine, soap, synthetic cleaners such as alkyl sulfates, alkan sulfonates, alkyl aryl sulfonyl sulfonyl sulfate deodorants, and sodium lalom. Surfactants or main detergents are used. Perborates are added to whiten and discolor, and silicates are alkalizing agents.
